Class work assignment: Bill of Rights Cases
Over the course of the last few blocks, we have been discussing the freedoms guaranteed to Americans by Amendments I, IV, V and VI. Indeed, see the first learning goal for our lesson!-Students will understand the basic freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Now that you have had a brief introduction to these personal liberties, which one would you like to learn more about? We will be forming groups based on your interest. So pick one of the 4 Amendments, and I will assign you and the rest of your group members one of the cases below (see document links below). Please read the case, and answer the questions that follow. Please write in complete, coherent sentences making well-supported arguments for your positions. You will have 25 minutes to complete your task. One group member must email your group's document as soon as you have completed the activity.
